Essence The Gel Nail Polish in '55 Be Awesome Tonight!'

I LOVE ESSENCE. Fact. Essence Cosmetics have such good quality products with amazing colour pay off and long lasting results and this time I wanted to review a nail polish. Boy! Does this small bottle mean business!
Essence has a huge range of the gel nail polish colours and each with great pigmentation, long wearing ability and with a very purse friendly price. £1.60 a pop, there's not much to dislike. This particular polish is my absolute favourite, if you know me well you know how much I love pink!

Product description:
Essence The Gel Nail Polish - the next generation of essence nail polishes is here! The special nail polish formula provides nails with an incredibly long-lasting manicure and an amazing gel shine. The innovative colour technology offers intensive colour and perfect coverage, giving you an incredible finish. You'll find plenty of brand spanking new colours in the range for spring.

Essence have reformulated their nail polishes to bring an affordable range that gives you gel nails in the comfort of your own home, with the use of their base and top coat you will be able to achieve gel nails without the use of a UV lamp, impressive right?!
The packaging is quite cute, the colour coordinated caps to the super wide brush to allow careful and really neat application in a stroke means it's already a winner for me!

55 Be Awesome Tonight! is a beautiful milky bubblegum pink colour which is definitely one shade I would recommend out of the whole collection, The colour was fully opaque after just two coats and has such a brilliant shine. I applied this colour without the use of a base and top coat and even without I was able to get a great wear before the first ever chip and believe me it wasn't until after a fair amount of days which was amazing!
As a huge Essence fan, I really do commend the brand for bring out such a fabulous range of colours for such an impressive line of nail polishes. Like other Essence products, the quality is just like a high end product but without the huge price tag. If you have not tried a polish from Essence then you seriously need to!

The Lazy Girl's Guide To Baking Brownies

Lately I have been craving brownies like crazy but since I do like 101 things at the same time, I do not have the energy to whip up some fresh homemade brownies so that's why I turned towards the Betty Crocker range.
I remember using the Betty Crocker range in my early teen years and I still enjoy baking and using the kits today. There is a new range now called 'Delights' and within the range I spotted the salted caramel brownie kit *drools* I knew I had to try this one and who knew that the brownies would turn out so indulgent, decadent and melt-in-the-mouth goodness... I know I'll be sticking to this kit and after trying out so many other brownie making kits this one definitely won in terms of taste and quality.

1 Medium-Sized Egg
4 tbsp Water
Oil or 42g Salted Butter (I opted for salted butter)
2 Pinches of Sea salt

Fire up your oven to 180°C (160°C for fan assisted ovens) / Gas Mark 4.
Only 3 steps to the perfect brownies...
1 Mix egg, water, oil (or melted salted butter) and brownie mix together with a wooden spoon until smooth and creamy. Then mix the caramel sauce with 2 pinches of salt in a separate bowl and heat for 30 seconds in the microwave.
2 Grease and line with baking paper the base of a 20cm square cake tin. Spread half of the batter into the tin. Drizzle and spread out the caramel sauce on the brownie batter. Cover with the rest of the brownie batter.
3 Bake for 22-25 mins or until sticky crumbs cling to a knife inserted into the centre. Allow to cool before enjoying a slice or three of this delicious brownie.

These were the most easiest brownies I have ever made and what made me love these was the taste. I was truly amazed at how rich and 'homemade' they tasted. I wouldn't even think to use another kit!

Pick up a kit at your local supermarket for only £2.85!

Have you tried this kit?

Lust List #2 Too Faced Cosmetics

After countless hours of reading make-up reviews and scrolling through endless pretty Too Faced make-up photos on Instagram & Pinterest, I have come to a conclusion that it's time to try this brand. The products looks so instagram-worthy and not to mention how pretty the pink packaging is. So here are the top five products that I want to own one day soon.

T H E   F A C E:

There are a total of three products that I really want to get my paws on, I think if I used all three together I could achieve the most flawless and shimmerin' base ever!
Diamond Highlighter (£28) is like ultimate highlighter goals! I heart the packaging and since I love trying out different highlighters and wear them daily, this would make the obvious next purchase.
Heart eyes for the Love Flush Blusher (£26) This reminds me so much of the 90s Polly Pocket packaging, it's so cute! Pink blushers are a favourite of mine and I have heard so much about this, think it's time to try it out.
To have an overall fantastic make-up look, you need a great base, that's why I need the Hangover Primer (£32) in my life. This promises to hydrate, smooth and brighten the skin. What more could you want?

T H E   E Y E S:

Volumised lashes are my favourite look so I decided to add the Size Queen Mascara (£18.90) to my wishlist, I have heard alot about the infamous 'better than sex' mascara but I'm looking for lashes that are larger than life! This mascara also has conditioning fibres and it stretches the lashes so that it can reach it's optimum length.
Cat flicks are so cute to wear and the Sketch Marker (£20) would help me to achieve feline flicks in moments, the sketch markers are inspired by Japanese calligraphy pens and also come in a huge array of cute colours too! I swatched the black one and it's insanely pigmented and really long lasting too!

Essence Get Your Glitter On Loose Glitters and Pigments Review

Get festival ready with Essence Cosmetics! Oh boy! What a lovely new launch that is really upto date and on trend! Essence have released a line of fifteen, yes fifteen! Loose glitter pigments along with a special glitter glue primer and a glitter/pigment applicator. These cute little pots cost only £3* each (7g) and there are so many fabulous choices to choose from so you can really get your glitter on!

"Coarse glitter flakes, colourful confetti or fine glitter dust - the various glitter pigments offer everything for a breathtakingly individual look. worn individually, they create an insane wow-look, combined with other glitter colours or shapes they become a statement. Whether for face or body, the 15 loose pigments & glitters make everyone shine - true to the motto: get your glitter on!"
I was lovingly sent two from the entire collection and believe me I really would of only picked these two since they are so versatile and they both would go easily with any look. Holo White Out 07 is a beautiful holographic white shimmer which has a stunning green shine when seen in a different angle and Star Child 01 is a cute little pot of silver sparkly stars!

This handy little tube is the perfect base for adhering your glitter and sparkles. This lightweight glitter primer has a lovely pearlescent finish which shines pink in the light. It has a dewy finish and manages to hold onto the glitter/shimmer/sequins very well. I like that the primer is not colourless because the pearl/shine effect actually adds to the shimmer/sequins and goes very well together. This primer is also suitable for both the face and body! £2.80* (10ml)

I think this is a lovely launch from Essence Cosmetics! Easy to use and very affordable so anyone can have a chance to play around and get creative this summer. My personal favourite product is the Glitter Primer, simply because of that gorgeous pink sheen!

What do you think of Essence's loose glitters/pigments and primer?

*These products were gifted to me for reviewing purposes ^^

Arts and Candies Accessories* Review

LOVE quirky yet cute accessories than you will LOVE Arts and Candies! This post comes at you today in collaboration with Arts and Candies and their gorgeous accessories*
I was very kindly sent these beautiful pieces and I could not believe how realistic it all looked.

About Arts and Candies
"I specialise in designing and creating unique polymer clay jewellery, mostly consisting of wearable sweets! I also created a seperate line of Lush inspired jewellery designed specially for fans of Lush cosmetics.
Making candy themed jewellery was something I initially started for myself back in 2006. I was thinking how great it would be to wear lifesize liquorice allsorts around my wrist, but my online search when I went to find such jewellery got me nowhere. So I decided I would make my own! Only I ended up making them for other people instead! From that moment I began creating all kinds of unique bracelets and accessories, all based on original ideas that I hadn't been able to find elsewhere."

Talk about one very talented lady and once you browse her etsy page, you'll definitely be spoilt for choice! she sells everything from cute bubble bar earrings to a very colourful necklace full of Lush product charms. The ultimate Lush addict's dream.
My accessories came packaged in a little box, the goodies were wrapped up in a sparkly pink tissue paper along with a cute business card and a thank you note. It's all about the little things.
This keyring was made specially for me and I cannot tell you how much I would of chosen this if I saw it in a shop, it's so me! The cupcake keyring is so stunning and it looks just like a cupcake you would find at a patisserie. The attention to detail is amazing and for such intricate pieces too! I particularly love the whipped cream style frosting on the cupcake, it looks so real! The sprinkling of glitter and the two little gingerbread men really finishes off the product well.
I have already attached the keyring onto my wallet and I have added the adorable christmas pudding necklace into my collection ready for the festive period. I'm obsessed!
I'm so happy with my new accessories and I know I will be looking to spoil myself with a Lush accessory, how fab does the Lush charms necklace look?!

What do you think about these accessories? Do you think Lush and food themed jewellery should be a trend? Let me know in the comments below!

A huge thank you to Arts and Candies for my accessories and for working with me on this very cute collab!*

Kiko Haul

Don't you just love it when you pop into Kiko just to browse but then you end up putting products in your basket that you probably didn't need? Yeah.. I can totally relate because I ended up with these two products. Thought I will only swatch a lipstick or check out the endless array of colourful nail polishes but then you should always treat yo'self!

Smart Fusion Lipstick in 403 Soft Rose - Click (here)
A bestselling lip product and seeing the range of colours, I only wanted to do a swatch or two but then I found the colour for me. Soft Rose, a beautful nude pink is the perfect everyday colour and can suit any skin tone. This super moisturising lipstick is super creamy and glides onto the lips like a dream. The colour is very pigmented and you can really build up the coverage. There are 36 striking colours to choose from and I can totally see myself going to pick up some more. What amazed me was the quality, it really acts like a high end lipstick but without the huge price tag. This also has a gorgeous fudge/toffee like scent which is totally a plus for me! This lipstick is definitely underrated. £3.90 each

Smart Nail Lacquer in 22 Pearly Comfy Rose - Click (here)
Kiko always display their nail polish colours beautifully and arranged by colour groups. I was walking by and this particular colour caught my eye. This beautiful milky pink tone has lovely silver and pink shimmers running through the nail laquer. The compact bottle means you can travel with it easily and apply anywhere on the go. The brush is large and bristle packed which allows you to evenly apply colour without a fail. Again another underrated Kiko product, I just need to pick up some blue hues. £2.00 each

Neal's Yard Pamper Evening and trying their NEW Eye Cream

So over a week ago I went to a pamper evening hosted by Neal's Yard and boy! Did I need some me time.
I headed down to Birmingham new street and upon arrival I was greeted and I was asked what beverage I would like to drink whilst I wait for my facial to be set up. I opted for rose water. No not the water you use on your skin ^^ but mineral water with actual rose buds. I have to admit, this tasted way better than I expected. Whilst waiting I browsed all of the Neal's Yard products and saw what skincare ranges there was to offer.
I was then asked a few questions about my skin type and what products I use regularly. My facial was then made up of five products and one being the new eye cream!
A very creamy refining cleanser was used first which took off all of my make-up and impurities, the rejuvenating toner remove any further traces of make-up and cleared my complexion in preparation for the facial. After the cleansing and toning part was completed a mattifying serum was used on my t zone to reduce shine and to minimise the appearance of pores. My favourite step included a star buy, the wild rose beauty balm. This stuff is incredible. This was applied onto my face and was kept on my skin for around 15-20 minutes. This balm smelt amazing and just like a rose garden! Once this was removed, I truly was amazed. My skin looked and felt so bright and nourished. To finish off the facial, I got to try the new eye cream. The Frankincense Intense Lift eye cream was used under my eyes, this cream has said to lift, plump, revitalise and brighten the eye area.

About the new eye cream:
Age well with our certified organic eye cream and join the women who agree their eye area is visibly lifted after using it. Scientifically formulated to target skin that’s starting to show a lack of firmness, elasticity and definition, including deep lines and wrinkles around the eyes, we’ve added a tailored Revitalise Blend of green tea caffeine, turmeric and organic green coffee seed oil to revive the eye area.

I was so happy with the outcome, The products worked really well together and went with my combination skin type very well. I know I will be looking into treating myself to these products because it really works. My top picks include, The wild rose beauty balm and the mattifying serum.  All of the products felt very lightweight and was very fast absorbing. I think with prolonged usage, my skin will look it's very best.

Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick* in Double Dare Review

What a show stopper! This mini Kat Von D lipstick has now become a firm favourite of mine. I received this sample thanks to the Debenhams Beauty club and it was such a great opportunity to try out this brand even more, I have tried the infamous tattoo liner but I love this even more!

Product description:
Introducing the new and reborn Studded Kiss Crème Lipstick, the creamiest, most cushiony and unbelievably pigmented lipstick to ever cross your lips. Discover your new go-to color from Kat Von D’s biggest, boldest shade range—40 shades, 3 finishes and never-before-seen shades made to match Everlasting Liquid Lipstick bestsellers.
Originally created in 2014, the Studded Kiss collection is now reimagined with an updated look featuring monochromatic black studded packaging and a breakthrough new formula.
See and feel the difference instantly. Studded Kiss Crème Lipstick features a high-chroma content for pure, vivid color in a revolutionary new base formula that’s crystal clear, super-soft and virtually weightless. Made with smooth spherical pigments and lip-nourishing ingredients, it’s never been easier to coat your lips in creamy, comfortable color.
Vegan & Cruelty Free.

I received the shade Double Dare - Semi Matte Cocoa Blush and this is such a beautiful colour to wear every day. I have found this lipstick to be intensely pigmented, the above swatch was just one swipe! It really is amazing stuff! This warm pinkey brown shade is a never fail shade and can easily suit every skin tone.
Though having a scent doesn't really bother me but this has the most incredible buttery sweet scent which I am really liking, it seems to lift my mood every time I apply it too!
The formula is very creamy yet very lightweight, so easy to wear since it doesn't feel heavy on the lips despite the intensely creamy formulation.
Although it is a long wearing lipstick, I still have to touch up a little after eating or drinking but this is the norm with stick lipsticks. I am incredibly impressed with the actual shape of the bullet as this makes it much easier to apply and get sharp, crisp lines without the use of a lip liner and to finish of this already fabulous lip product... the packaging! It's the ultimate rock glam chic captured in a beauty product. I cannot get enough of this lipstick and I know I will be purchasing a full sized one but the only problem will be what shade to choose?!

Check it out here - link //£17 for a 3g lipstick

Free sample* thanks to the Debenhams Beauty Club!
