Lush Christmas 2018 My Top Girly Picks

The only collection from Lush that I actually look forward to is the Christmas collection. Simply because they release such a vast amount of products and they just happen to be extra sparkly, which I LOVE!
This year, Lush have released a super adorable line of products and as well as bringing back the ever popular and loved Shoot for the stars, golden wonder, butterbear and Snow Fairy, I was super excited to see some of their newest products and this year did not disappoint! I have chosen 5 products that are new and if I was to buy anything from Lush this year, it would be from this fabulous bunch!

From L to R:

Princess Bomb Bomb/ Bath Bomb £9.95 each
Well isn't this the show stopper of the whole collection, I literally gasped when I saw this online. It is on the pricier side but I really like how this looks. It's actually two bath bombs that you are supposed to use together. This is one of the bath bombs from the mini range, there are two others, a snowman and a santa. This bath product promises to de-stress and comfort you. A perfect treat to use before bed or as a little pick me up.

Snow Fairy Body Conditioner £8.95 each
Not gonna lie but I added this into my top five simply because it's pastel pink and has some added shimmer in the product too. A well loved scent at Christmas, but this body conditioner is said to really condition the skin, thanks to the added Avocado and Mango Butter. This will really lather up to create sweetly scented bubbles.

Perle De Sel/ Bath Bomb £4.95 each
If there were any classy bath bombs out there then this would be it! I REALLY love how this one looks, it literally looks like glistening fresh water pearls! This bath bomb has it all. It will relax, pamper and sooth you. The rose absolute will sooth and tone while the added sea salt will gently cleanse the skin. This sounds so dreamy, I will definitely be picking up one... or two!

Candy Mountain Yule Log/Bubble Bar £3.95 each
Looks like they have redesigned this one, who remembers the white swirl around it? I think I preferred that design but this is back and with the added fair trade Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter this will definitely moisturise and soften the skin intensely. The vanilla in this means it's perfect for you if you are into sweeter scents, the pink colour also looks vivid and amazing.

Cheery Christmas/ Bath Bomb £3.95 each
To finish off my top picks I added this bath bomb into my list, a super pink bath bomb with added Sicilian Lemon and Blackcurrant scented Buchu to uplift your senses and instantly change your mood. This sounds like it will be popular bath bomb this year. Again, I am loving the pink, the added shimmer and the snowflake design finishes off the product nicely.

Girly Pamper Session *The Proper Way*

A weekly pamper session is a must. No questions asked. Pamper sessions are a great way to unwind and to let yourself renew and prepare for the busy week ahead. Now there are normal and small pamper sessions where you just chuck on a face mask and your're done, and then there are the proper pamper sessions where you go all out and do the whole routine. This is exactly what I am going to share with you, From products I use to what I choose to snack on. It's all covered in this post.

I first light a candle and then I like to pick and choose all of my products and lay them all out. I usually start off by picking a face mask from my beauty drawer. I keep all kinds of masks, mud masks, peel off masks and lately I have been collecting and loving sheet masks so this time I opted for a Korean brightening sheet mask. I then choose a nail polish. Though it can be hard at times, I opted for a cute bubblegum pink from Essence Cosmetics. Nails painted and face mask on...

I then get comfortable and write in my diary and this is usually accompanied with a huge bag of pick n mix sweeties! I wait for my face mask to do it's thing and wait for my nails to dry so what better way to kill time by jotting down some ideas or writing down what happened during the day.

Once I let my nails dry properly, I then apply my lotions and potions. A good night cream, eye cream and lip balm. I am currently loving the Burt's Bees night cream, Estee Lauder eye cream and my trusty rose nivea lip balm. Both creams work really well together and I wake up with dewy and fresher looking skin. Don't forget a hand cream too! I always keep one on my bedside table. I'm currently loving Soap and Glory's hand food.

Now this will really tie up the pamper session nicely, I received the cutest little parcel from Naomi who owns the Superpeach boutique and they have the cutest and the most unique looking lingerie, ever! I was lovingly sent a pair, the Maria* is a gorgeous black pair of knickers. It's all about the little things, I really loved how she went all out there with the packaging. The knickers were wrapped in light pink tissue paper which was adorned with a white bow and there were some white synthetic rose petals for extra cuteness. The Maria has a floral print that is covered in lovely black frills and is finished off with two satin black bows. If this doesn't scream class then I don't know what does. These are super comfortable and super stretchy, perfect for lounging in! Superpeach also stock a fabulous array of items that would make a perfect gift for someone or for yourself. They have got it all! From cute hair accessories to stationery and keyrings. Each item is beautiful and it's great because everything is in one place.

It's important to slip into something that will make you feel that extra bit special, all I need now are some pink silky pyjamas! I guarantee that if you do this whole routine once a week, you will automatically feel great and be ready to take on any task.

What do you like to do in your pamper session? comment below!

*this post was in collaboration with Superpeach, thank you so much for my Maria knickers, Naomi! I am obsessed with them!

Travel Beauty Essentials

It's always important to pack those mini essentials so that you can travel with ease. I always spend a good 15 minutes to check that I have included everything in my handbag. I thought that I should share three new essentials that I have been loving lately.

My beauty essentials and extras checklist:
Deodorant/body spray, paracetamol, hand sanitiser, headache balm stick (this is a must!) chewing gum, lip balm, a small selection of make-up products including a dark lipstick because you just never know where you'll end up going, hairbrush, mini toothpaste and toothbrush, my personal favourite is the Arm and Hammer simply natural toothpaste* a pack of Femfresh wipes* and lastly a good ol' can of dry shampoo* and you can't beat Batiste, I LOVE the tropical scent!

Batiste Tropical Dry Shampoo 50ml // £1.50* Available at Boots and Superdrug
A great and easy way to freshen up your roots in between washes. I love how easy this is to use and it gives really good volume to the hair too. The scent is very summery and smells of coconut! I have the full size too which I keep in the bathroom but this is the ideal size for on the go. I definitely recommend keeping one of these!

Arm and Hammer Simply Natural Toothpaste 25ml// £1.30* Available at Boots and Superdrug
I already use and love Arm and Hammer but having a small version sure helps. Keeping toothpaste with you is always a good idea, some places may not already keep a toothpaste so it's good to be prepared. This one gently cleans the teeth but leaves it feeling super clean coupled with a dazzling shine.

Femfresh Freshening and Soothing wipes 10pcs //£1.59* Available at Boots
I have never tried these wipes from Femfresh before and what was I doing without it?!! These wipes are PH balanced, super gentle and helps to deodorise and freshen you up down there... Great to have at home, work and to carry around with you. You will instantly feel refreshed and with the added soothing mallow and anti-bacterial calendula, you know it will do the job just fine.

What are your must have beauty travel essentials?

Luxury Online Shopping With Harpak*

We all need a bit of luxury shopping here and there and I have found the place to go to for all your luxury and high end items. I was recently contacted by Harpak to work on this very special collaboration and I honestly love the idea behind this new website, Let me fill you in on all of the details!

Harpak Home Shopping LTD is a British online department store and they have this sparkling new website that sells a selection of high end items. From clothing to home ware, they have got it all in one handy little place. Products are updated weekly and new brands are added every month. Their aim is to help you find the best price and quality match the products too!

Using the website was a breeze, all of the items are categorised well and with clear photos and swatches (make-up) I was able to choose my chosen items easily and quickly. The website itself is simple but straight to the point without any fancy fonts or colours. I personally love the design since it's not too fussy nor confusing. I particularly like the fact that there are so many brands/items to choose from in one place! I also like how they have added homeware and food and drink into the mix since that is very different and unique. I would recommend Harpak to all because it is innovative, it's easy to use and not forgetting to mention free shipping on all orders!!

I was given £50 off on my total order and since I love make-up I immediately browsed the cosmetics collection and there I found two YSL items that I just needed to get. This was one brand I had been meaning to buy for a very long time and I easily found two items that I know I am going to love! I went for the YSL Rouge Pur Couture in 53 Beige Promenade* and the YSL Volume Effet Faux Clis Mascara in Noir* Once I ordered my items I was given confirmation and the delivery was within 2-3 days which is not bad. The make-up items were packaged well in a black package and my shipping information was inside a gold envelope. Everything was presented well and I was really impressed.

Lastly Harpak produces a Throw Your Stone magazine which has been distributed online but due to amazing feedback they will now publish the magazine and it will be distributed in and around London to start off with! This magazine contains articles from contributors all around the world and the topics can include business, travel, culture and life. A magazine to inspire us all thanks to the unfiltered millennial perspective. I read the article 'Experience is everything' and it made me realise that we have so much beauty surrounding us that we don't even take a chance to look around and that without a mobile phone! What are your thoughts on Harpak?

The items* were gifted to me in exchange for a feature/review

Givenchy NEW Le Rouge Mat Lipstick in '329 Rouge Stiletto' Review

Looking for THE only red lipstick that you'll ever need? Meet Givenchy's latest offering, the Le Rouge Mat range.
This promises high coverage coupled with an intense colour pay off and they were not kidding! I was blown away at the pigmentation. The photos really do not do enough justice. This is one lipstick that you really need to swatch and see for yourself.

Product description:
Rich in dense pigments, the ultra-mat formula of Le Rouge Mat Lipstick glides on to dress lips in velvet.
Colors and contours the lips – mat meets radiance with a velvet texture on the mouth. Pure pigments result in an uncompromising finish with high coverage, precise definition and a non-drying, comfortable feel. The look is edgy yet sophisticated.
Luxe leather casing encloses a deeply glamourous lipstick in a spectrum of seven intense shades.

A stunning black casing and the colour can be described as a vibrant and typical Parisienne red. I wore this once out to dinner and it seriously made me feel so classy and timeless. This is not an everyday lipstick for me, it is something I would save for special occasions.
It feels super luxurious and a definite must have in your collection.
The bullet is really well designed because when you apply this onto the lips, the application is very neat and you really don't need to line your lips with a liner since I was able to colour the contours of my lips with easy strokes and it really looked so tidy. This also does not tug, this really does apply like a dream.

The formulation is matte but I feel that it gives more of a velvet finish, it is very comfortable to wear thanks to the really good formulation which makes this a moisturising lipstick.
One swipe literally gives enough colour. Rouge stiletto* is a very classic red that is flattering on all skin tones so you really do not need to worry if it will suit you. The price is steep but I seriously think that this lipstick ticks all of the boxes, a wise investment that you will not regret.

Available online and in department stores / £28

What are your thoughts on this red lippie?

Soap and Glory #Babesofglory Club

I could not believe my luck when I was accepted into the most girliest and coolest club ever! So recently Soap and Glory decided to make a club #Babesofglory and I still remember the day when they announced the application was online and ready to fill in, I gave it my best shot and I guess being a pink lover really helped because I got this shiny package through the post!

It's so nice when brands/companies make the effort to do something different and try to get bloggers involved, regardless of the amount of followers you may have. Sometimes it truly isn't about the numbers and I heard that S&G are one of the best when it comes to PR packages.

Once I opened the pretty silver parcel which was adorned with cute S&G stickers, I came across a very cute yet informative note along with my very own #Babesofglory pin! HOW DARN CUTE!? and not only that, I also received two mini skincare products, both of which are bestsellers! I don't know about you but if this isn't a fabulous welcome to the club parcel then I don't know what is.

I will be reviewing the products very soon, I have another parcel from the babes at S&G as we speak and I was sent five... yes five full sized skin care products to test and review so keep your eyes peeled for that very exciting unboxing post!

What is your favourite S&G product? I would LOVE to know!

Asda Lovebugs Cake Review

Time for another cute sweet treat review and this time I am reviewing the Love Bugs Cake which you can easily find in Asda! This is the second instalment in this series, I have previously reviewed a very adorable Pabs the Pug gift cake which you can view here - link

A p p e a r a n c e
This really reminded me of the caterpillar cakes you can find in M&S and still Asda's take on the design is still very cute! You get two mini cakes in the pack. One being a boy caterpillar and the other a girl. These essentially are two medium sized chocolate roulette cakes but each one has a fondant face on the end. Each caterpillar has a sprinkling of cutely coloured sprinkles to truly finish the design off. 5/5

T a s t e:
If you have a huge sweet tooth then this is definitely for you! The cake and the frosting is oh so chocolately, it really reminds me of Cadbury mini rolls but with a more intense chocolate flavour. One slice is definitely not enough! The fondant faces were a bit too sweet for me so I didn't eat those. All in all for those who prefer the really sweeter things in life.  3/5

Q u a l i t y:
When you initially look at these cakes they look good, the chocolate coating is even, the sprinkles adds to the overall look and the fondant pieces brings the cakes together. For the price, it is very reasonable and a good pick for kid parties or for as a treat for one. The chocolate sponge could of been better though since it seemed a little dry. I liked this but I wouldn't repurchase it.  3/5

Have you tried these cute caterpillars?

NYX Lip Lingerie in 'Bedtime Flirt' Review

"Bedtime Flirt - Red toned pink"

You can never have too many liquid lipsticks. Fact. I have been collecting and loving liquid lipsticks for quite a while now but there wasn't any NYX in my collection... Until now! I don't even know why it took me so long to try one from NYX because this certainly isn't the last time I will buy from them!

Slip into something seductive with Lip Lingerie, our new weightless liquid lipstick with a plush matte finish. Available in a range of colour-kissed nudes ‒ from cinnamon pink and chocolate brown, to warm mahogany red and classic nude beige - each sultry shade will coat the curves of your lips with irresistibly creamy colour.

Lingerie for your lips... The lip lingerie range launched back in 2016 and NYX added some more nude shades in 2017 making this a collection worth checking out since there literally is a nude shade for everyone! There are a whopping 24 SHADES AVAILABLE!! How amazing is that?!

I am already obsessing with this range because  as soon as I wore Bedtime Flirt for the first time, it literally felt weightless on my lips! Just like lingerie, the formula is ever so light on the lips and all the colours to choose from... *DROOLS*

This range definitely delivers precision ability and long lasting wear but with that being said it is bound to be drying.  Without the drying part there wouldn't be any colour transfer or smearing. I just dabbed on a very small amount of lipbalm before applying this and it was still actually ok!

The formulation is amazing. I would describe these to have a mousse-like formula that feels air whipped and incredibly light. Once it dries, it doesn't dry to a matte finish but to a more velvety finish, which I prefer.

Boy! Were these able to last long! I was really amazed at both the colour pay off and the longetivity. You can really build up the colour intensity. When I applied one coat, this shade looked like my lip colour but better but then once I applied a good three coats I was able to see a gorgeous rosy cinnamon like shade. This is one of my all time favourite lip colours already and I definitely see myself reaching out to this often. The whole range has so many shades to choose from and I know If you see the whole range you would probably just stand and stare for a while since they can all look the same but there are all so different that can go with any skin tone. I am particularly liking the shades 'Lace Details' and 'Push Up' to buy next!!
I cannot recommend these enough and I know I'm pretty late in trying this range out but better late than never! NYX have also added a shimmer and glitter range within the collection so I know where I'm going to get some new lipglosses... There's even a clear gloss that has rainbow glitter in it!!! *heart eyes*

Check it out here - link // £7

Do you have a favourite shade from this range? Comment the name of the shade below, I would love to know!

Lancome Competition Goodies*

So not too long ago I received sample sachets of Lancome's Advanced Génifique Youth Activating Serum to try and I really loved using it in my skincare routine. So like a week later I got an email saying to leave a review and that I would be entered into a lucky draw to win some Lancome goodies*
I left a review stating my real thoughts and experience whilst using the serum but I didn't think anything of the lucky draw. Days passed and I got a notification in my inbox saying that I was one of lucky reviewers who had won a goody bag. I was so ecstatic and it really made my day.
Read on to see the products I had won!

In total I received 4 minis and a very cute pink tote bag!

Top Beauty Hacks That Every Girl Needs To AVOID

It has been ages since I last posted a hacks post, I posted a top ten beauty hacks post which you can view here and this time I have some top tips that needs to be avoided, I had to share these! Hopefully you'll be more aware of what's a good hack and what needs to be forgotten!

1. Using Coconut oil as a face moisturiser.
It is perfectly fine to use this in the hair or on the body but on the face? NO! You will end up with clogged pores and potentially have some breakouts so steer clear of this!

2. Exfoliating your face with sugar, salt or baking soda.
These are very harsh on the face, stick to only facial scrubs that can be bought in store, I repeat do not try to make a DIY facial scrub, better to be safe than sorry because these ingredients are just too harsh for the face.

3. Using toothpaste on spots.
I used to do this when I was a teen but apparently it doesn't work and could make the spot more red and irritated. Yes it can dry the spot out due to the baking soda and peroxide but again, something just not for the face.

4. Using lemon juice to lighten the skin.
Another ingredient found in DIY facials, seriously this is very harmful to the skin. It can actually cause your skin to burn due to the acid in the lemon. Lemon juice also contains a chemical called psoralen which makes your skin extremely reactive to light for a full day after you've used it on your face!

5. Using hairspray to set your make-up... Yes I couldn't believe it either!
Apparently this beauty hack can be found on youtube?! Hairspray should just be used on hair and nothing else. This is really harmful to the skin, regardless. It causes nothing but damage to your health and skin, Hairspray contains a high amount of alcohol so if used on the face, it will dehydrate the skin intensely and also cause redness to the skin and block your pores too. Inhaling the fumes is also really bad, these are very toxic so something to really stay away from.

6. Using egg whites to tighten the skin.
Ahh! Another one of those popular DIY face masks that you can easily find on the internet. There is a huge risk of salmonella! You could accidentally ingest some of the egg white, it's a risk and trust me it's not worth it. Since it's so gloopy, you could also spill this and bacteria would spread so basically just stick to making omelettes instead!

Which beauty hack are you guilty of doing? Mine's number 4... Yikes!

Asda Pabs The Pug Gift Cake Review

I have a huge sweet tooth and I am always on the lookout for the cutest cakes, biscuits and any other sweet treats. I thought that I should start reviewing this here as a kind of switch up between mostly beauty posts. Hopefully these reviews will help you to decide what sweet treat to go for and none of these posts from this series is sponsored, it's just that I genuinely want to review them and of course I paid for these too! So now on to the review!

A p p e a r a n c e:

Ok so this may be the cutest ever gift cake you will ever see! The cake comes in a pretty pastel blue box. The fondant pieces used really makes this look like the sweetest pug ever! The fondant colours are spot on and this would definitely catch your eye in the cake aisle. Though gift cakes are supposed to be small, for the price, this seems a bit on the smaller side of things. This costed £4 and is said to have six servings but if you have a sweet tooth like myself, it would more likely be four servings ^^ haha!

T a s t e:

I really liked this cake. It really reminded me of the same taste as those fondant birthday cakes you would find at kid's parties and I'm not complaining. The fondant is also chocolate flavoured which I wasn't expecting. I thought that the fondant was only coloured and have no flavour so that was a nice touch. The sponge is soft and you can definitely taste the vanilla, there is also the right amount of jam and buttercream. Surprisingly it's not too sweet either which is great! One slice is definitely not enough ^^

Q u a l i t y:

Overall this is a pretty good cake, from the decorations to the taste of the sponge and fondant. It will look great at any party or as a gift. I think this is one gift cake you need to buy and try. A really flavourful cake that's super cute and is something I would definitely buy again. My overall rating 9/10, 9 because of the size but otherwise it was a fabulous cake!

Have you tried this gift cake? Check it out here - link

Essence The Gel Nail Polish in '55 Be Awesome Tonight!'

I LOVE ESSENCE. Fact. Essence Cosmetics have such good quality products with amazing colour pay off and long lasting results and this time I wanted to review a nail polish. Boy! Does this small bottle mean business!
Essence has a huge range of the gel nail polish colours and each with great pigmentation, long wearing ability and with a very purse friendly price. £1.60 a pop, there's not much to dislike. This particular polish is my absolute favourite, if you know me well you know how much I love pink!

Product description:
Essence The Gel Nail Polish - the next generation of essence nail polishes is here! The special nail polish formula provides nails with an incredibly long-lasting manicure and an amazing gel shine. The innovative colour technology offers intensive colour and perfect coverage, giving you an incredible finish. You'll find plenty of brand spanking new colours in the range for spring.

Essence have reformulated their nail polishes to bring an affordable range that gives you gel nails in the comfort of your own home, with the use of their base and top coat you will be able to achieve gel nails without the use of a UV lamp, impressive right?!
The packaging is quite cute, the colour coordinated caps to the super wide brush to allow careful and really neat application in a stroke means it's already a winner for me!

55 Be Awesome Tonight! is a beautiful milky bubblegum pink colour which is definitely one shade I would recommend out of the whole collection, The colour was fully opaque after just two coats and has such a brilliant shine. I applied this colour without the use of a base and top coat and even without I was able to get a great wear before the first ever chip and believe me it wasn't until after a fair amount of days which was amazing!
As a huge Essence fan, I really do commend the brand for bring out such a fabulous range of colours for such an impressive line of nail polishes. Like other Essence products, the quality is just like a high end product but without the huge price tag. If you have not tried a polish from Essence then you seriously need to!

Check it out here - link //£1.60 available at Wilko.
