How I Organise and Plan Blog Posts

I love blogging but I enjoy it even more when posts are organised way ahead of time (types with a cup of tea in hand) I wanted to share with you how I get posts published on my little creative space despite being a full time mom with an endless daily to do list that is as long as my arm.

Stationery Love
I carry around a notebook for those out of nowhere ideas, sometimes when I am out and about I end up getting inspired for beauty and or lifestyle posts so it's always handy to jot things down, that way you do not forget and you are ready to type away once you are back in front of your laptop.
Use pretty paperclips, pastel highlighters, scented gel pens and cute sticky note to make blog planning even more fun, it will definitely make you want to look at your notes and it won't look boring or feel like a chore!

Bulk photography and batch writing
I find it a whole lot easier if I do this and it really helps in the long run. Find a day to just take photos, in winter I definitely take photos until 2pm because that's when it starts to get dark :( knowing you have taken a huge bulk of photos definitely helps keep your mind at ease and you can really enjoy taking photos with props too!
Batch writing is another important thing that I do when I am in the mood to just type and type away.. usually with the help of some tea and cupcakes. Knowing you have posts saved away in the drafts section really helps for those lazier days when you don't feel like typing.

Beat procrastination!
My personal favourite. Sometimes it's good to have a break away from blogging, you know you're blogging way too much when you start dragging out important tasks that would normally take a few minutes. Sometimes I take a week or two off just so I can be me again and have my me and family time, it really helps to refresh your inner self and you'll enjoy blogging again with a much fresher mind.

What are your tips for good blog planning? I would love to know!

Technic Strobe Kit in Blush* Review

If you didn't know already, Technic Cosmetics is one of my favourite affordable make-up brands, I have previously spoken about their products and I absolutely LOVE it!
Unfortunately Technic Cosmetics is only available online and I have spotted a fair few products in Bodycare stores but it would be great if it was available at Boots and Superdrug. Technic have launched some new products and one of the products that needed to be mentioned was this, the strobe kit! I was kindly sent this to try out and this palette has been in my make-up bag ever since!

Product description:
Our highly pigmented Strobe Kits are available in both Blush and Bronze. Each kit has two highly pigmented shimmery powders and creams allowing you to perfect that strobing technique. The blush palette contains pastel pinks and champagne colours to give you a subtle rosy glow.

The brand have recently launched their Strobe Kits which are available in two shades, these aren't even yet available on the Love Thy Makeup website but they are available from Pretty Little Thing for just £4.00 each. As I mentioned, there are two shades available which are Blush and Bronze,
Each Strobe Kit contains four shades, two of which are cream and two of which are powder, I like this because you can achieve completely different looks by using one palette. The Blush palette* consists of champagne shades and pinkier shades compared to the Bronze palette, all of which are stunning and very suitable for all skin tone types

I must admit that although these are called Strobe Kits I haven't really gotten the hang of strobing yet so I've really just been using these to highlight instead and it still works perfectly to achieve that GLOW. Each shade is super pigmented, easy to work with and leaves your skin looking and feeling glowy all day. I particularly love the texture of the cream highlighters, it blends like a dream and you can really build on the highlight too! If you're on the hunt for a budget highlighting kit or you want a dupe for the Sleek palettes then this is definitely a great one to try, it's also cheaper too!

Overall I love this new product from Technic and for anyone who is a highlighter addict like me, I have no doubts that you will love it too. Be sure to check the Technic Instagram page to see all of their new product releases. This brand is truly underrated and I like how they are in trend with their beauty releases and how affordable it is too. I highly recommend checking it all out.

Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Treatment Mask* Review

Do you have dry skin that could do with some major TLC? then look no further because this is the face mask for you! What a difference this has made to my skin, this is definitely something I look forward to using each week. Essentially this is one huge skin drinkđź’¦ and your skin will thank you for it!

Product description:
Give your skin the gift of hydration it dearly deserves with our Intense Hydration Mask. Our replenishing treatment mask is scientifically proven to intensely hydrate skin and also helps increase skin’s ability to retain moisture, so your skin will possess softness and suppleness like never before. 99% natural, dermatologist tested and noncomedogenic, for best results, use this facial mask as part of the 5-step Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration regimen. Put the power of nature to work for your skin.
First off, how huge is this product?! I was amazed at how much face mask you are getting for the price, a whopping 110g which can easily last a good time and with this mask a little goes a long way, the texture is quite thick so it will go a very long way indeed.
This creamy mask literally hugs and comforts the skin, it doesn't dry but gets absorbed by the skin so it ends up looking semi transparent but once you start washing your skin, the mask foams up a little bit but in no way dries, so this is good news for cream mask lovers and it would make sense for drier complexions because the last thing you would want is a drying product that takes away moisture.

This smells incredible too! It has a spa like scent and it isn't overpowering either. It has just the right amount of scent that has a calming effect. Goes really well with the extremely creamy and smooth texture of the mask.

Application was a breeze. I applied this with a face mask brush and I was able to apply it all over my face very quickly and easily. There was less mess and none was wasted either. I kept it on for a good 40 minutes and the whole time it felt very comfortable and relaxing. I washed off the mask with warm water and I was amazed at the results. My skin instantly felt so smooth, it seemed to have banished my dry patches and my skin looked renewed and brighter too. I couldn't believe that after removing the mask, I didn't have to quickly reach out for a moisturiser because sometimes I feel like certain masks take away moisture when you remove it but certainly not this one so I was extremely happy to see how well this had worked.

I cannot recommend this enough, it is so underrated and if you suffer with dry skin or have dry patches on your face then you seriously need to pick this up! Imagine how much this will help in the winter! Your skin will LOVE you.

Get Party Ready With Kiss Lashes*

When I think of false lashes, what comes to mind is: special occasions, parties, getting ready and the festive season and what better time to test out some gorgeous lashes that were sent to me! I created a quick pink/purple smokey eye and I wanted to complete the look with a pair of Kiss Lashes in Midnight from the faux mink collection*

Product description:
Transcend everyday beauty with sumptuously soft faux mink lashes.
Features: Developed with proprietary Mink Effect Design, Lash Couture features a knot-free lash band that distributes weightless volume and curl with a lush, softness like no other. LBD lashes create a smokey eye effect without eyeshadow. Exclusive Knot-free Lash Band. Weightless Volume & Curl, Soft & Seamless, Reusable
Benefits: The lush luxury of real mink lashes without using real mink. The smart humane choice. Adds multiple lengths, curls and angles to your own lashes.

Meet the most sumptuous dark false eyelashes, EVER! These falsies are dense bundled lashes that gives the perfect glam and wispy look and can suit any eye shape too! This style is fun and edgy to bring out the individuality in your eyes.

The feathered ends really makes the lashes look oh-so fluttery, I'm already obsessed with them!

Application was easy, I used the Lash Couture Strip Lash Adhesive in Clear* and applying the glue onto the lashes was a breeze! The glue has a brush on applicator for an easy and mess free application and it actually is infused with Biotin and Blueberry extract! Which means the formulation is gentle but has a strong hold. What I loved about the glue is that there is no nasty scent, you know... that typical latex smell that can seriously put you off ^^

When I applied it onto the band, I waited a few seconds for the glue to get tacky and then I applied it onto my eyes. Now I don't wear false lashes that often so my lash putting on skills aren't that great but these were some how SO easy to apply onto my lash line. I felt like the glue had taken a good hold of my lashes so I knew that these wouldn't become loose near the edges. The lashes are also reusable which is great since it actually looks and feels expensive but for a fraction of the price. I really recommend Kiss lashes! I genuinely think these products are so high in quality and I was amazed at how quick and easy the results were, trust me you'll stop buying those pound lashes once you try these!

'Midnight' lashes available to buy at Superdrug - link was £7.99 now £5.32*
'Pretty' lashes available to buy at Boots - link £5.99*
