NEW Clarins Joli Rouge Brilliant Lipsticks 2016

Swatches starting from the top: Guava, Hot Fuchsia, Soft Berry.

I love Clarins, fact! And their lip products are a very firm favourite of mine. I own a fair amount of the the Joli Rouge lipsticks and I was excited to try out their new range - Joli Rouge Brilliant.
This is the NEW S/S collection which is the 'high shine sister' to Joli Rouge lipsticks. These have been enhanced with a new moisture enriched formula making them even more glossier than the Joli Rouge collection. Read on to find out more about this fantastic range.

Product description:
New Joli Rouge Brillant Lipstick provides intense moisture and enhances lips with a subtle shine and sheer finish. This special formula hydrates lips for 6 hours* while providing flexibility, comfort and brightness.

I'm drawn to pretty packaging and this range definitely has that super luxe feeling. The gold casing look and feels expensive and luxurious too! The lid also has that satisfying 'click' It's all about the little things.
The actual bullet has such a beautiful curve at the top which makes applying this such a breeze! It really hugs the lips which means precision in application!

The formulation is on point too! These lipsticks contain finer pearl particles for a subtle veil of sheer colour and these are also super moisturising too thanks to the organic marsh samphire extract and mango oil which gives smoother, softer and fuller-looking lips. The lipstick also glides on smoothly and it feels so comfortable on the lips. My lips instantly feel nourished and protected too.
It also has the signature Clarins scent of red berries, which is my fave!

The lipsticks also have a good wear time, it has an incredible hold and what I like is that these shades are very buildable. You can choose to wear it as a tint or go for a full on colour and trust me the full on colour looks amazing on. Super glossy and my lips do look plump!
I was sent three shades, Guava: a warm slight corally pink. Hot Fuchsia, a beautiful dark pink and Soft Berry, a dark nude. The Soft Berry shade is my personal favourite since I love nude shades and I just seem to collect every singe possible shade out there!

Priced at £19.50 these lipsticks definitely aren't cheap but they're totally worth the price as they're everything I could ever want from a lip product. If you're into matte finishes, then these probably won't be for you but if you want a beautiful glossy lip colour that will keep your lips feeling hydrated and moisturised throughout the day then this range is for you!

Tony Moly I'm Real Avocado Mask Sheet Review

Hi Lovelies! Hope you all are well!

A few days ago I had a mini pamper session and I wanted to try out a mask from my collection. This particular one stood out to me at the time and I love Korean beauty products so I tried this and boy! Did it do wonders to my skin!

Product description
Tony Moly I'm Real Avocado Mask Sheet is an individually wrapped sheet mask that is formulated with avocado extract to deliver needed nutrients deep within the skin in as little as 20 minutes. Subtle fragrance and thicker cotton mask make for a luxurious experience. Ideal for all skin types. Nourish your skin with the I'm Real Avocado Mask Sheet! This 3-layer pulp sheet is filled with a latex-based essence that is infused with natural oils to provide maximum elasticity and nutrition for your skin. No parabens, talc, benzophenone, or triethanolamine included.

If you know your Korean brands then you'll know that Tony Moly is quite a popular brand. It is a leading global cosmetic brand that has the most cutest packaging ever! Their belief is that, 'fun ideas meet great products' and I can certainly see that! Right onto the review!
The range - I'm real has three concepts, it has a three layer pulp sheet which absorbs deep into the skin whilst adhering closely to the skin. Treats skin with natural elements and is tailored to your skin type. There are a total of 11 masks in this range and each one is a different type of food item that has a specific quality to help the skin in a certain way. This particular one is avocado so it's especially for nourishing the skin. The masks are also sorted in 3 different types: water type essence, micro emulsion type essence and milky-liquid type essence. This particular mask is a milky-liquid type essence and this makes the skin supple with enriched nutrition.

The packaging is just so cute! I like how with all of the masks, the colour matches the food item. So inside was the folded 3 layer mask drenched in the milky-liquid serum and there was some excess serum at the bottom of the packet so I just patted the rest around my neck. I also like how this is so fuss free, you just literally put the mask on, you do not need to apply anything with a brush or use your fingers. I kept this on for a good 40 minutes and I was amazed.

The mask truly was true to it's purpose! It made my skin feel so refreshed and moisturised afterwards. My complexion also looked alot more brighter and the softness! Oh my god! Even now my skin feels just as soft. I did not feel uncomfortable whilst wearing this nor did it make my skin feel itchy or break me out which can sometimes happen if I try a new skincare product. If you have dry skin, this is the one for you! Since the serum is pretty thick and super moisturising. The scent has a fresh kind of smell, since avocados don't really have a potent scent, I guess it's just been used for the nourishing factor rather than the scent.

Overall I am so happy with my first ever try with a Tony Moly product and I honestly want to try so much from this brand now! Especially the make-up... *hides away*

A Trip To Chanel Beauty

Hi lovelies, hope you all are well!

Towards the end of last year before flying out I was treated by the Mr to some Chanel beauty treats. I have always wanted to own some Chanel make-up and well this was a very lucky day for me.

I knew exactly what shades and products to try first so I chose the Chanel Joues Contraste powder blush in 'Pink Explosion' and the Le Volume De Chanel mascara in 'Noir'
Seeing as I always love using blushers and mascaras and since I use both quite a bit, I wanted to try these out from the range first.
Owning Chanel make-up feels great! It's just like having a lil piece of luxury in your pocket/bag.

The blusher came beautifully packaged in a velvet pouch and the compact itself is just like a mini work of art. The mirror and brush are of superb quality and the actual blush pigment is vibrant, smooth at touch and it gives my complexion vitality.
The mascara is literally like a push up bra but for your eyes! I don't even have to use my eyelash curlers prior to applying this. I know I can achieve instant volume, plumpier and thicker lashes with just a few coats. This also opens up my eyes too!

I am extremely happy with both of my chosen products and I will definitely be doing an indepth review of both of the products.

What's your favourite Chanel beauty product?

The Perfect Red Carpet Look With Farfetch*

Recently I was contacted on behalf of Farfetch, a company which makes buying designer goods a whole lot easier! It's a online community which consists of 400 boutiques that sells many high end goods straight to your door! There are over a 1000 labels to choose from and it is the ideal place for all the fashion forward girls and boys out there!
With the run up to the Golden Globes, Grammys and the Academy Awards, I have been asked to create a fashion set of the perfect red carpet look that is fashion forward and farfetch enough to rock the red carpet.

I sure had fun browsing and putting together pieces for my look. When we think of red carpet events we think of long elegant dresses but I decided to opt for a more fun and edgier look. I loved Selena Gomez's look at the Teen Choice Awards in 2012, she wore a short pleated dress that screamed attention and the bubblegum pink colour was an excellent choice. I also admired Whitney Port's look from the MTV movie awards in 2010 and she wore this cute yellow dress, that hugged her perfectly with some strappy heels. Based on both those looks I decided to go for a shorter dress with some amazing accessories to match.

The Dress
I chose the Versace Mix Medusa Print Dress (£815.28) since it definitely caught my eye, it's such a fun dress! I love the colours and I'm pretty sure this would get everyone talking. The dress has such a vibrant colour and patterns so I decided to go simple with the accessories and let the dress do the talking.

The Accessories
The Versace Medusa Clutch (£436.46) seemed like the cutest choice, the pastel pink colour wouldn't clash with the dress and seeing as it's one plain colour, it would go nicely with the outfit and still look just as good. My choice of heels came in the form of Alexander Mcqueen Flower Applique Pumps (£645.00) I wanted something black to break up the outfit and seeing as black goes with everything, this particular pair was so unique and with the cute flower detailing it makes the heels a bit more interesting rather than a basic black heel. My favourite accessory would have to be the Irene Neuwirth 18kt Rose Gold Onyx Drop Earrings (£3,715.63) I love how these look so vintage-esque and these would definitely add a bit of class to the whole outfit, Again I chose something black just to break up the outfit seeing as the dress and clutch are both pink. Lastly you gotta add a bit of Chanel to an outfit so I chose the Chanel Vintage Multi Strand Belt (£1,382.74) this literally tied the whole look up, it adds a bit of fun to the outfit and it also looks like you've made a bit more effort in putting the look together.

So there you have it! My ideal red carpet look but with a fun and an edgier twist! What do you think of my choices?

Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfecting Base Review

Say hello to the latest offering from Clarins! Another addition to the instant light family, the Instant light lip perfecting base. Now, this product claims to both treat and prime the lips to ensure a long lasting lip colour and to make applications easier. I put this to the test and well, this might just be the new handbag hero product you have been looking for.

Product description:
A new innovative lip base which instantly smoothes lips and sets lipstick to ensure long-lasting make-up hold for a perfect finish. A moisturising transparent primer for your lips. Both a treatment and make-up, this transparent base enriched with acacia micro-pearls and vegetable waxes serves as a primer for lipstick, while smoothing and nourishing the lips. With a an extra sweet fragrance carrying vanilla notes.

This transparent base is rich in plant extracts to smooth and moisturise the lips as well as providing hold up to 6 hours!
The formula consists of a cocktail of five active skincare ingredients such as, Acacia gum botanical pearls which smoothes the lips and evens out any lines whilst helping to maintain moisture levels. Shea butter which offers comfort and nutrition to the lips by reinforcing the lipid layer. Jojoba, sunflower and mimosa wax complex, traps water molecules to provide moisture. The hyaluroic acid and collagen gives that youthful plumped look and lastly the gamma oryzanol and tocopheral protects the lips from the harmful effects of free radicals.

Now this lip base is transparent and when you wear this, it takes away a bit of colour and texture of your lips to ensure a perfect canvas to apply your lip colour. When I started applying lipstick, it was such an ease! Sometimes it can drag and feel super uncomfortable but I feel like this really holds onto the colour and keeps it locked in so much more than without using any prepping product. This balm does not feel heavy in any way because what I initially thought was since I'll be applying two lip products, there might be some weight-age on my lips but I'm pleased to report that you do not feel it at all. It doesn't dry out the lips but adds a bit of moisture which is perfect for matte lipstick wearers out there! Since it will not highlight any dry patches.

I noticed that when my lip colour fades, it fades unevenly and with this it makes the lip colour fade but in a less dramatic way, for example when you sip a hot drink and you get this ombre lip look, well with this the colour still maintains itself without any bleeding into fine lines or around the lips because this balm creates a barrier and for us lipstick lovers this is a life saver! Coupled with the soft textured balm is a lovely sweet vanilla scent which finishes off the product nicely.

This is one luxurious balm that not only looks good on any dresser but it's worth trying if you happen to have a spare twenty in your wallet. This extended my lip colour and it definitely perfected any flaws on my lips. I'm glad to have this in my make-up bag and it sure is great to have on hand. A lovely addition to the instant light family.

Primark,Lush and Thorntons Haul February 2016

Hi lovelies! Hope you all are well!

So a few days ago, me and a good friend of mine went to Bullring, in Birmingham for a good ol' shop. I was abroad for three months and well, I really missed the UK shops. I knew the exact three places that I wanted to go to first and I was so happy with my purchases!

First up, Primark! You'll notice a pastel theme with all of the things that I had purchased. I picked up just a few new essentials without going too overboard and trust me it's easy to spend alot in there, haha!

Pastel blue make-up bag // £3
Ok, so this was love at first sight, I actually did need a new make-up bag and this one was perfect. The design is just too adorable and the two compartments means I can organise my face/eye/lip products accordingly. I have already stored all of my favourite products in it and it really does fit everything.

Blush & highlighter duo stick // £2.50
I always browse the PS beauty range whenever I pop in and I saw this new product, I love using both blushers and highlighters and this is both of the make-up products in stick form! How neat! I cannot wait to try this out properly and review it too.

Cute sweater // £5
I saw this on Primark's insta and well, I knew I wanted to get my paws on this. This is the perfect sweater to throw on with jeans and cute ballerina flats or even great for lounging in at home. I love how baggy this looks on me and coupled with a top knot, it's a winning combo.

Pastel stud earrings // £2
Without any fail, I will always purchase a pack of studs from Primark, I saw these cute pastel coloured studs and I didn't even have to think If I wanted these. The lil gem earrings look so much more expensive than they really are and I will definitely wear these on a daily basis.

I missed Lush so much and I wanted to get two bath products since my stash had finally finished. I opted for one bath bomb and one bubble bar. I originally wanted to get the twilight bath bomb but once I smelled it in store, I wasn't so keen on the scent. I will also be reviewing these on the blog too!

Intergalactic bath bomb // £3.95
I have seen many pictures/reviews of this stunning bath bomb and after loving the Shoot for the stars bath bomb, this seemed like the perfect next choice. I love vibrant colours and glitter so this bath bomb will surely be a 'out of this world' experience.

Creamy Candy bubble bar // £2.95
This is an old favourite of mine so I repurchased it. This bubble bar smells like pick 'n' mix and gives the best sweet smellin' bubbles ever! I'm loving the new design too!

It had been quite a while since I last bought something from Thorntons but if I had to pick a place to buy truffles, this would definitely be it!

Viennese Truffles // £3 a bag or 2 for £5
These truffles have been a favourite of mine for quite some time now and I wanted to treat myself to a bag. These taste amazing accompanied with a hot cup of tea or coffee. The truffles are a unique blend of white and milk chocolate, wrapped around light and fluffy mousse topped off with a sprinkling of icing sugar. These melt in the mouth chocolates are worth trying if you haven't already done so.

So there you have it! All of the goodies that I had picked up. What do you think of my purchases?

REVIEW | Essence Soo Blush! Cream To Powder Blush*

Hi Lovelies, hope you all are well!

I feel like it's been forever since I last typed up a make-up review and this time I wanted to feature a Essence product because I am like, obsessed with this brand! I absolutely LOVE their highlighter and now I need to tell you why this needs to be in your make-up bag!

Product description:
fresh it up: this blush gives your complexion a touch of color for a healthy, fresh look. the creamy texture with a powdery finish practically melts with your skin and is easy to apply and blend with your fingers.

This lil product means business! This peachy pink blusher instantly gives you that flushed look within moments, this stuff's insanely pigmented so you only really need to use a small amount. This blusher comes housed in sturdy plastic packaging which is easy to open/close.
Even though the blusher's weight is 4g, you do get alot of colour pay off, I use this quite alot and I have not been able to hit pan so rest assured you won't have to worry about this finishing anytime soon.
The formulation of this blusher is cream but has a powdery finish and the longevity really is commendable. I am able to wear this for a good 4-6 hours and the colour still looks just as vibrant.
Applying this is a breeze, I simply use my finger to blend the colour onto the apples of my cheeks and what's good is that I can control the amount of colour I am putting on.
The actual formulation doesn't contain any shimmer but it still somehow manages to illuminate my complexion which is a plus!

Essence have done it again! I cannot recommend this product enough! This cream blusher is so easy to use, even for beginners and all in all a good addition to your blusher collection, I say give this one a definite try!
