REVIEW | Cuepido Ohh Blush! Cheek Stain In Camelia*

Cheek stains and cream blushers have slowly taken over my life, Stepping aside from powder blushers I have now found a new love of blushers, in the form of a cream or stain. Cuepido sent over three make-up products for me to try and I just had to try this out first ^^

Product description:
This liquid formula blush glides on and blends easily to give an all day beautiful glow that lasts for hours. Ohh Blush! is a light reflecting pigmented stain that allows you to have a glowing complexion. The color pigment is strong enough to give you the flirty flush with just a tiny drop. It is blendable that you can build your own color coverage from a natural to a pop-up look. Its lightweight packaging makes it an ideal on-the-go pick.

For me, blusher completes my day to day make up look, I tend to go towards pinker hues since it flatters my skin tone and it makes me look healthier and oh so pretty <3
Cuepido have two gorgeous liquid face blushers available - Camelia and Peony.
The packaging is simple yet it stands out, a perfect travel companion too since it is so lightweight!
I think this has to be the first time I have ever come across a blusher in a pump bottle and I love it! It's got the hygiene factor since you do not need to dip your fingers into the product and I also find it to be mess free.
One pump is more than enough for this pigmented product! This blusher has a unique texture, almost mousse like that glides onto the skin so effortlessly and it blends like a dream! I love products that are so easy to work with and with this one you do not need to break a sweat.
The shade Camelia is a beautiful blue toned mediumy pink which I'm sure can flatter any skin tone. This also contains light reflecting pigments that will give you an all day beautiful glow, I do agree with the product description since I feel that cream/gel and liquid blushers gives my complexion a dewy glow rather than powdered blushers.
This is great for even powder blusher lovers out there because it is that easy to use! It requires less effort since the formula is so lightweight, The pump is actually controllable which I am so glad about because with pumps, the amount can seem alot and this in turn means wastage so I just slowly press this until the desired amount chosen and it's ready to use straight away.
You can also control the amount of colour you want to wear, this is a very pigmented colour so you really need just a dot on each cheek to achieve a flawless flushed look but you can easily build up the colour if you prefer the full on look.
The longevity of this is amazing! It really clings onto the skin and does not move until you remove it (comes off easily with make-up remover), It also is waterproof which makes it a great choice for summer since it will not slip and slide unlike other powder/cream blushers. This also does not contain any parabens and talc so it's safe for the skin and if you have not guessed it already then, without a doubt I would really recommend trying this out, I can carry on commending this product but then this review will become into a ramble, so if you are a blusher addict then go check this wonder product out, it's a must have <3

Yankee Candle Wishlist #2

yankee candle wishlist

I have become quite an obsess-or for Yankee candles and I now get why it is such a popular choice amongst, well... everyone! I recently received five scents which I will be reviewing soon and I cannot tell you how excited I am! Since I have NEVER tried YC before (shock horror)
I have put together this second wishlist of all the other scents that I really want to try after burning all of the ones that I received. It would be very expensive to buy all of these in large jars so I will probably get two in large and the rest in either medium/small. I have already decided to get salted caramel in large since it's so popular (almost sold out on every site) and I love very sweet scents so it's a perfect excuse investment.

Bahama Breeze - There's cool summer refreshment in this tropical blend of pineapple, grapefruit and mango.

Garden Sweet Pea - The sweet perfume of delicate blooms accented with hints of pear, peach, freesia and rosewood.

Salted caramel - Sweet surrender is yours with our luscious gourmand confection of burnt sugar, sea salt and smooth vanilla caramel.

Pink Dragon Fruit - Colorful and intriguing . . . there's a lure of adventure in the sweet aroma of this tropical fruit.

Home Sweet Home - A heartwarming blend of cinnamon, baking spices, and a hint of freshly poured tea.

Summer Scoop - Delicious memories of creamy, homemade strawberry ice cream on a hot summer day. One scoop or two?

Strawberry Buttercream - Yum … an absolutely luscious treat of plump, sweet strawberries buried in rich whipped cream.

What's your all time favourite scent?

REVIEW | Una Brennan's Vitamin C+ Eye Cream*

Eye creams are always something that I include in my skincare routine and for over two months (day and night) I've been trying out this Una Brennan Vitamin C+ Brightening Dark Circles Eye Cream* which claims to target dark circles, hydrate the under eye area and even out any lines or puffiness. Now that is alot of claims to live up to and seeing as I loved the vitamin C moisturiser (from the same range) I had high hopes for this eye cream.
Frankly, I haven't noticed much difference in terms of the dark circles disappearing or it becoming less apparent which is quite disappointing and I have even read a few reviews about this product and how well it works on others. That aside I do like how it hydrated my whole eye area and how any fine lines were literally as good as gone, this cream also was a big help in terms of reducing any puffiness. Since this hydrates the eye area well this sure does a great job at priming prior to applying concealer.
The cream itself is light and non greasy which enables it to easily cover the whole eye area, it does not feel heavy or uncomfortable and I do commend the absorbing properties of this since it makes make-up applications a doddle, no more waiting around with this cream!
In conclusion I am very half and half with this, I hate that it doesn't make my dark circles disappear but I do like that my fine lines, puffiness and essential hydration is taken care of.
This is a very affordable eye cream, I would recommend it but not for it's intended purpose. If your lucky enough to have lighter/less apparent dark circles then this may work for you better.
Una Brennan Vitamin C+ Brighten Dark Circles Eye Cream, £12.99* is available from Boots

REVIEW | Original Source Coconut Shower Gel

If you want to smell like coconut macaroons then carry on reading... I managed to find and pick this up at my local Asda for a mere price of a £1! I love original source products, from the quirky descriptions to the 'in your face packaging' The shower gel certainly ticks all the boxes of being a good shower product. Now if I had to describe the scent to you, all I can basically think of is COCONUTTY GOODNESS! It smells so good that I do want to eat it.. but of course I wouldn't because that would be very weird but you get the idea of how incredible this smells! So natural and none of that artificial nonsense!
For those of you who have never come across this brand, let me briefly fill you in. Original source do nothing but capture the very essence of nature and apply it to their products, it's vegan, tested on 'us' I am assuming that they test the products on themselves so no fluffy bunnies were harmed and this very shower gel contains natural moisturisers.
This lathers up quite alot, like a bubble bath but in a shower if that makes any sense. My skin instantly felt hydrated, moisturised and my skin was left with a delicate fragrance of coconut <3

If I were you, I would go and grab a couple of these bottles, It definitely is worth a try if you are a newbie. Check out the website here and these are available at all leading supermarkets as well as Boots and Superdrug!

I would love to know what is your favourite from the shower gel range!

FOTD #1 | Pop Of Pink

Welcome to my first ever FOTD post, I wanted to post something a lil different today, seeing as FOTD posts are quite popular I decided that I wanted to document mine on my blog too <3
These make up items are what I usually stick to, unless I swap around a mascara or a lip product. I love the minimal look these days and I let my eyes do the talking but with that being said I still love my flawless bases and pops of colour.
Firstly I either prime or moisturise, depending what is at arm's reach and then I dot the EX1 concealer all around the eye area and blend it away using a concealer brush for precision.
I finish off my face with a light dusting of the Rimmel stay matte powder to keep that horrible shine at bay.
Complexion completed, I now move onto the eyes! After curling my lashes I use the old school L'Oreal voluminous 4x mascara which gives enough volume to my lashes without looking over done and then I apply the Rimmel scandaleyes liner in nude to my waterline just so I can look more 'awake' I then finish off my eyes with my new favourite gel matic liner from L'Oreal on my top and bottom lash lines to frame my eyes.
To add some colour and vitality back into my complexion I use one of my go to cream blushers and that is from Revlon, it may look quite daunting but it delivers the most amazing flush on the cheeks and the blending properties of this product is top notch since it blends away effortlessly.
For the lips I opted for Miss patisserie's multi balm, this instantly hydrates and preps my lips for the Soap and glory lipstick in my favourite shade - Supernude!

What are your go to products for days when you want to wear minimal make up?

Lifestyle | DIY Keepsake Box

There's nothing like doing a spot of DIY on a cold and rainy day. I was bitten by the creativity bug after reading the lovely Caroline's DIY post which you can read here, she created this amazing good things bunny jar, You basically write a lil note on a piece of paper of all the good things that have happened and you keep em all in the jar and once it's the end of the year you go through all the notes and reflect on all of the good times, good idea non?
I was inspired to make one too but in form of a box <3 So let's see the steps on how to make your very own keepsake box.

I decided to use an old gift box, I didn't want to throw it away, I just knew it would come in use somehow ^^
Using some acrylic paints and an old cosmetic sponge, I basically covered the whole box using a dabbing motion and after completion it became a beautiful gradient wash of colours - I chose blue and pink since I am loving those colours at the moment.

Time for the fun part... decorating! Using an unloved flower ornament, gems, stickers and sequins,I basically glued and positioned the decor items wherever I wanted. The flower piece looked great as a centre piece and I placed the gems and sequins sparingly. The box started to take shape as well as looking super pretty. I also sprinkled some glitter onto the flower as a finishing touch but you can really do anything, for me this would of been incomplete without some glitter!

So there you go, an easy mini DIY project that you can easily do in the comfort of your own home and with materials that are readily available in your home too, so why not give this a go!

Clarins Spring 2014 Opalescence Collection Multi - Blush* | Review

Clockwise from the bottom left: 01 peach, 02 candy, 03 rosewood and 04 grenadine <3

Nothing gets me excited more than thinking about spring, and even more when brands start to release their spring make up collections. There's just something about the pastel hues and injecting some lighter colours back onto your make up palette and wardrobe that is just so uplifting.
So with the arrival of spring, Clarins have released their new spring 2014 collection which is entitled Opalescence and you can check out all the products here, I just had to have a separate post to feature all of the pretty make up products <3
One of the products that I was kindly sent to review was this gorgeous cream blusher, I believe that this is the first ever cream blusher that Clarins have launched and I have to admit this cute lil compact means business.
There are four shades in total but I opted for the 'candy' shade which is photographed above.

The Multi-Blush Cream Blush is a cream-to-powder formula that contains a mix of Rose, Mimosa and Sunflower waxes to keep skin hydrated, and a "Light Optimizing Complex" to boost radiance. What I love about the blushers from this new collection is that it gives something back to the skin and in this case, a possible prevention of dehydration. It sure is nice to own a make-up product that is beneficial to the skin.
Wearing this instantly makes me look naturally flushed with colour and it was amazingly easy to apply too, simply blend it away with your fingertips or you can use a stippling brush if you prefer precision.
The pigmentation is lovely and this is such a build able product, you won't have to worry about it being heavy/harsh at the first usage because it can deliver a slight pop of colour to a full on flush of pink, it truly is great for everyone.
Candy is a beautiful soft pink that leans towards a coral shade. The Multi-Blush formula just melts into the skin, this is the creamiest of all formulas but once applied onto to skin it instantly turns into a matte finish, even though it dries matte pretty quick, the formulation is silky enough to blend out to an even finish. Candy actually has the subtlest hint of gold shimmer running through it and this is what gives your skin that radiant look. The shimmer is not too apparent so you will not be looking like a disco ball but you'll be seen as a natural and radiant beauty. It is very flattering indeed.
Wear time is good since it does last a good couple of hours but you will need to touch up - if you want it to carry throughout the rest of your day. This cute compact is ace for on the go since it is so lightweight and it has a built in mirror.
These blushers deserve a swatch because the formula is just incredible! It's so airy and amazingly soft and the fact that these look better up close than in photos. Once you do you'll be able to understand what I'm talking about :)
The Clarins Multi-Blush Cream Blushes cost £18* each and launch February 2014, along with the rest of the Clarins Spring Makeup Collection. Click here to check it out.

Pamper Evenings.

Who doesn't love a good ol' pamper sesh? Yesterday evening I decided to take out all my holy grail products + a brand new bath product to try out. The weather is so cold and so I needed a lovely hot bath filled with mountains of bubbles to warm me up. After a good hour and a half, I felt revived, refreshed and oh so pampered <3
The pic above is a snap I took on Instagram, What? You are not following me? go on... here's mine >> <3

Clockwise from the bottom: Natural elements cocoa butter and honey foam bath | Lush popcorn lipscrub | Dirty works body butter | Glamglow mud mask | Burt's bees radiance night creme mini | Burt's bees radiance eye cream mini | Burt's bees honey and grapeseed hand cream

First up is the new bath product that I have been meaning to use since I picked it up a while back - Natural elements foam bath in the scent cocoa butter and honey. This smells incredible and this HUGE bottle only cost a £1, I picked this up whilst perusing bath products in poundland and what made me pick it up was the reasonably attractive packaging which some what reminds me of original source products which I love and the scent of this is amazing! Seeing that this is one cheapie, I didn't expect much but it created mountains of sweet smelling bubbles, I may stock up on more or other scents too!

Whilst in the bath, I applied some Glam glow mud mask, this my all time favourite and it is even loved by celebrities, beauty editors and even us lot! - The beauty bloggers but don't take my word for it check it out here to read about this much loved mask. My skin was renewed and brightened! Just what I needed. I use this mask when I really need some TLC <3

After popping out of the bath, I slathered the Dirty works body butter all over my body, this thick but light cream is instantly absorbed and there is no greasiness, win! This also has a wonderful sweet/fresh scent that I adore, this is one holy grail product that I use without a fail.

Now that I've put on some fresh new jammies, I can now carry on with the rest of my pamper session :) For the face I used the Burt's bees radiance night creme which is a gorgeously thick cream that instantly hydrates and softens my complexion. It contains royal jelly and some botanical goodness so that your skin will transform magically overnight, no seriously! You will achieve younger and brighter looking skin and I have seen the results <3

Next up an eye cream which I use daily, this one has worked wonders on my eye baggage as well as dark circles too. The Burt's bees radiance eye cream restores essential moisture back into the eye area and I found that it also brightens and lifts my eye area too, this is one eye cream that I definitely recommend.

Now time to move onto the lips and if you have been following my blog for some time you will know that I have been wanting the popcorn lipscrub from Lush for absolutely ages! Well, guess what!? I finally bought it and I have incorporated it into my routine, Use this to scrub away any dead, dry skin to reveal smoother and more softer lips. I then finish my lips off with a coating of Burt's bees replenishing lip balm which locks in moisture and keeps my lips hydrated too.

Lastly using my trusty Burt's bees thoroughly therapeutic honey and grapeseed oil hand cream for my dry and possibly over worked hands. This is light in texture and it is absorbed very fast, one of the things I love about this cream is that it is no way near greasy, just a light and easy cream to top up your hand's moisture levels.

And that is my pamper sesh done, After this routine I like to curl up with a good book and a huge hot chocolate or tea to relax me even more just before bedtime <3

What are your go to products for a pamper sesh?
