Body lishuss body butter - my review

I always review cosmetics so i thought let me start reviewing some skin care products too since these products are also important and are a part of our daily regime.
This body butter has a great creamy consistancy, rather on the thick side. This candy pink coloured body butter really nourishes the skin. My skin felt smooth and the scent is just amazing! hard to explain but it smells alot like candy necklaces, sherbert and fizzy sweets it definitely does NOT smell like cranberries. The only downside to this body butter is that i found it too heavy for my liking since am more into light weight lotions that hydrate my skin but I can honestly say that this may well be a dupe for The Body shop butters. The Body shop butters are sold for £12 each while this one is only for a £1... that's right! a pound. I actually bought this from pound land simply because I have not used a body butter before and you do not know if the product would be a win or a miss. for me this product is a win! I still cannot believe for a pound you get a great consistency, a lovely scent and it makes your skin feel hydrated and smooth. There are also other scents available and when I finish this product up I may well buy another.

My review for this product.

Bare minerals matt foundation - my review

This post contains a free sample

I finally got the chance to try the Bare minerals matte foundation and am not gonna lie, i am loving this product and it's worth the hype.
Mineral make up i think is the way forward it not only makes you look flawless but it also ensures that you are not using alot of make up either.
Though the sample pot is small it had ALOT of mineral make up (a little goes a very long way) i have been using it for 2 weeks and i also have felt a change in my skins condition too. I have started to save up for the starter kit.
What i love about this is the 'buffing' this ensures that the mineral make up that you are using goes onto each and every part of your face and makes you control how much you are using.
Though the shade i used was 'fairly light' it did not seem to be a wrong shade. It looked like i had no make up on but i had NO imperfections. Using this mineral make up will eliminate the need to use concealer AND powder! which is pretty amazing. If you have not tried Bare minerals make up then you are missing out! it's revolutionary!!!

My week in pictures.

L to R Clockwise: I was surprised by my other half when he bought home my fave cakes, i have always wanted to try the blue bubblegum cake ^^
I have so much coming up for Bows and Pearls, including working with new businesses to review their products, here is an image a business owner made for me when i had to custom order some products.
Lastly i love trying new foods and drinks and lately i have been wanting to try healthy juices and smoothies and i ordered these at a local restaurant. My current flavour is the exotic guava.

Hope you all had a fabulous week!

MUA lipstick review- shade 14 bare

I have been looking for a new everyday lipstick and i think i have found the one. This 'NEW' lipstick by MUA cosmetics is the ultimate subtle shade which is perfect if your looking for a natural day look. This shade doesn't make me look that 'dead' and it doesn't look like I'm wearing foundation on my lips. Instead this is a very subtly peachy beige that tones down the natural pinkness of my lips. This was creamy to apply and it is not sticky at all. For this reason I think that shade 14 would wear longer than the other shades.
The smell of the product isn't unpleasant but it doesn't really smell of anything familiar either.Overall I am rather taken with this product, I tend to wear it often within the daytime and i can see myself having to purchase another in a few months time considering it's only £1 I feel I can use it as often as I wish! Though it is only costs a pound, i find that the qualities of this lipstick matches to other expensive branded lipsticks. If you are going to Superdrug i recommend that you purchase this!

Conquered the hair doughnut!

I always wondered how to use a hair doughnut and now i know thanks to You Tube! it's great sometimes to get all your hair out of your face. This looks great too because it can be a casual throw up hair look or a night out polished look.
You can purchase hair doughnuts in different colours to match your Hair colour (I bought mine in dark brown and for £1 at Primark). All you need to create a top bun is a hair doughnut that matches your hair colour, a comb to brush out any bumps and keep your hair looking neat, some kirby grips to pin up loose hairs (handy if you have layered hair) and some hairspray (optional)

If you would like me to do a picture tutorial on how to do this then comment below ^^

Collection 2000 glam glitter review - in the shade OMG!

Glitter isn’t something that plays a huge role in my beauty routine. If it is, these loose glitter wands from Collection 2000 could be of interest to you. They have a gel adhesive on one end and a pot of loose glitter on the other, so you can basically do whatever you want with them, from lining your eyes to drawing patterns.
I decided to choose the shade 'OMG' simply because gold is useful for when wearing asian outfits since gold and silver are the main embroidery colours that are used. The theory behind this product is great and when i tested the swatch on my hand the glitter did not budge but you have to let it dry for a while. The pigmentation is great too! I know that some glitters are discomforting to wear but this one is 'comfortable'
There’s a nice mix of brights and neutrals here(I actually think the black and silver versions could be a nice addition to your party makeup routine) and they only cost £2.93, which is a good price for something you’re probably not going to use every day.
By Collection 2000, you can pick these up everywhere from supermarkets to chemists.

Khojati kohl eye pencil review

I love khol/kajal eyeliners! and i just had to purchase this. A newly opened Islamic store has opened in Birmingham called Islamic Impressions and they have the most amazing hijabs, abayas, islamic books and other items too.
I decided to pick up the blue one since i have too many blacks and i liked this midnight blue shade.
This is a fantastic eyeliner, lasts long, has a gorgeous shade and for a great price it's worth it!
The pigmentation is great too and you would expect this from a more expensive item but because of how all kajal/khol eyeliners are crafted, they all have great pigmentation.
These eyeliners are shipped from India and it only costed me £2.49
It's nice to see some natural ingredients in this eyeliner too! I do usually check the ingredients of each make up product before purchasing. I do prefer handmade and more organic products.

I'd definitely recommend this!!!

My week in pictures - the lil getaway...

From L to R clockwise: On the way back to Birmingham, was a 5 hr drive back (if am not mistaken) spent 2 days in Newcastle to see family. Though we don't have many sunny days in the UK (luckily it was when coming back!) it was great to see some of the scenery aka countryside while running up and down the country.
Hands down! this was THE best cake i have ever tried! from a local bakery and they do a range of flavours and so i opted for the pistachio :)
Lastly these two fabulous birdies, very loud but fun to play with. The yellow one is such a poser.

Hope you all had a great week!

M.A.C steel blue pigment - my review

In flash

I finally purchased my first M.A.C pigment and boy was it hard to choose the shade!
I wanted to experiment with other brands, am sure you'll agree that Barry M dazzle dusts are great but i wanted to try M.A.C's pigment.
This shade is called steel blue but it is hard to describe because it has many colours infused in it. It is mainly a metallic blue with greens, golds and silvers. When Applied dry, this pigment becomes a much softer shade. Like many pigments this shade comes to life when applied with a damp brush. It becomes a vibrant metallic blue and the undertones are much more apparent.
Overall i am very happy with this product, the multi dimensional colour, heavy pigmentation and it's long wearing too!

I'd definitely recommend this!!!

MUA lipstick in shade 4 - my review

I have finally bought some MUA lipsticks which i needed for my kit and i thought to share my views on this inexpensive lipstick.
It's by Make Up Academy which is available in Superdrug and it costs only a £1! It's a beautiful blue toned barbie pink shade, The lipstick is more of a crossover between a lipgloss and a tint. It does give a glossy look but it is not very pigmented. If your looking for a pink that screams 'look at me!'then this isn't for you.

I however do like the fact that it gives your complexion a pop of colour, It does tint the lip and you can only build so much colour.
Overall it is worth the price because of the tint of colour, shine and easy to travel with but you just have to keep on reapplying because it lacks staying power.
